All Star Week

Hey everyone,

This past week has been bittersweet, not only for Yankees Universe, but for the MLB. It is the All Star break, usually a time for fun and friendly competition, however the passing of two legends, George Steinbrenner and Bob Sheppard have dampened the mood a bit.

In other news, Nick Swisher represented the Yankees in the Home Run Derby last night, failing to advance out of the first round, hitting just four homers. Those four home runs were good enough to put Nick in 6th place out of the 8 contestants. The derby ended with David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox defeating Hanley Ramirez of the Florida Marlins in the final round.

N.L. def A.L., 3-1

The All Star game started out well for the Yankees and the AL, with Robinson Cano bringing home the first run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth inning last night. However, Brian McCann of the Atlanta Braves broke through with the bases loaded, clearing them with a double which would prove to be the game winner. The NL won their first All Star game since 1996, and will have Home Field Advantage in the World Series.

Intro

Hello,

I'm Zack and I'm going to be writing this blog about baseball, mainly about the New York Yankees, but I'll also touch on some other big news around the league. I really love baseball, and I'm open to any debate or argument anyone has on anything happening around the MLB.

The size of each post will depend on how much time I have, or how much there is to write about on that given day.

Ever since I was little, I have loved baseball. I played little league for many years and I go to about 15 baseball games every year.
Just some general rules to abide by:
When commenting, use your common sense; in other words.... use your head, don't be stupid.
As I said earlier, I am fine with a debate, to an extent. Please refrain from using any curse words, racism, etc.
